Very often, from our painful experiences, we might associate these with guilt or shame. I have and still struggle with this thought sometimes. But I strive to remind myself that thoughts of myself and memories of my past do not define me. In fact, in a different light, some of these experiences can be shifted into being monumental moments of self-growth.
